Emergency Dentistry in Los Angeles

Fast relief when you’re in pain, with a real person on the phone and same-day visits when possible.

Help When You Need It

A broken tooth, sudden pain, or a lost filling can turn your day upside down. Call us, tell us what is going on, and we’ll do our best to see you quickly. You’ll reach a real person who wants to help, not a runaround.

Getting to the Cause

When you come in, Dr. Shelyan focuses first on relieving your pain, then on understanding why it happened. Treating the cause, not just the symptom, is how we keep you from ending up back in the same spot a month later.

Comfort for Anxious Patients

Emergencies are stressful, especially if you already dread the dentist. Dr. Shelyan is known for a gentle, calming approach, and oral conscious sedation is available so even nervous patients can get the urgent care they need.

Common Questions

What counts as a dental emergency?

Severe pain, a broken or knocked-out tooth, swelling, or a lost crown or filling are all worth calling about. If you’re unsure, call us and we will help you figure out the next step.

Can you see me today?

We do our best to see patients in pain quickly. Call us, describe what is happening, and we will find the soonest time we can.

What should I do for a knocked-out tooth?

Handle it by the crown, not the root, keep it moist, and call us right away. Time matters, so reach out as soon as you can.

Do you offer sedation for emergency treatment?

Yes. Oral conscious sedation is available to keep anxious patients comfortable during urgent care.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What should I do for a severe toothache right now?

Rinse with warm water, gently floss to clear any trapped food, and use a cold compress on the outside of your cheek for swelling. Avoid placing aspirin directly on the gum. Then call us so Dr. Shelyan can find and treat the cause.
  • How do I know if a chipped tooth is an emergency?

A small chip with no pain can often wait for a regular visit, but a large break, sharp edge, or one with pain or bleeding should be seen quickly. If you are unsure, call us and we will help you decide.
  • What should I do if a crown or filling falls out?

Keep the crown if you have it, avoid chewing on that side, and call us to be seen. The exposed tooth can be sensitive or fragile, so it is best not to wait. We will get you in and protect the tooth.
  • Will a dental emergency cost more than a regular visit?

Cost depends on what treatment the emergency needs, which Dr. Shelyan will explain before proceeding. We accept all PPO plans and offer financing through CareCredit, Cherry, and Sunbit, so you can get relief without putting it off.
